Born and raised in the Lake District, Ricky began competing in fell running races at the age of fourteen, becoming an established legend of the trail & mountain running scene.
He’s previously been a part of the prestigious Salomon international team since 2008, represented Great Britain, and was the winner of the IAU Trail Running World Championships in 2013.
A member of his local club Ellenborough AC, he has won several of the most prestigious fell races, including the Three Peaks Race, Wasdale, Borrowdale & Ennerdale.
Ricky has been event ambassador for many of the High Terrain Events. Most notably the Scafell Pike Trail Marathon as a five time finisher which includes three first, a second & third place. We've worked with Ricky previously, hosting trail running weekends in the Lake District.
A full time firefighter & father of two, Ricky understands what it takes to reach your potential with a busy lifestyle.
