How it Works

High Terrain Coaching is designed to provide you with personalized fitness training plans and one-on-one online coaching that cater to your unique needs and goals.
 

How it Works:

If you would like to proceed, register for your chosen service through our website by clicking on one of the links below (Details available soon). Choose either the personalised coaching program or training plan and make your initial payment via credit/debit card or Pay Pal.

​If you are unsure about online coaching & prefer to find out further information before registering, we can offer a free no obligation initial consultation. Just get in touch & we'll be happy to discuss.

For the coaching, you’ll be billed an initial monthly fee followed by a monthly subscription fee. You can cancel at any time after the initial one month period.

Upon signing up, you’ll receive a welcome email containing a link to your coaching questionnaire & Health Declaration. This questionnaire enables us to gather essential information about your health, fitness level, running background, available training time and specific goals. This includes an initial consultation ( Facetime video call, email, phone, whatever your preference).

We'll then create your personalised plan based on your lifestyle, schedule, current fitness, objectives, and availability. This process takes time and careful planning to develop, so you can expect to start the coaching process or receive your plan within a few weeks. Depending on your chosen coaching plan, you’ll receive communication ranging from weekly to once a month. We use TrainingPeaks for delivery of your training plan.

If you'd like to cancel after signing up there is no minimum tie-in period & you can cancel at any time. However, to get the most out of your program, we recommend committing to at least three months (12 week) minimum in order to start seeing any benefits. There are no short cuts to the kind of fitness you need.

  • How do I know if online coaching is suitable for me?
    Never had a coach before? Are you unsure about online coaching & whether this is something that would be a value to you? We cater for all ability levels, you don’t have to be an elite athlete to get involved. We can offer an initial free consultation (video call, email, phone) to discuss how the coaching process works before signing up to the services we offer. It's also important that we work well together & this is a great way to discuss whether we'll be suitable for you. If you would like to find out more just get in touch.
  • How are the coaching services & plans provided?
    Coaching and training plans are generally provided through the TrainingPeaks online platform. This offers an interactive coach-athlete communication tool where we are able to work closely together. Once we prescribe your initial training plan, we then schedule detailed workouts for you in your TrainingPeaks account. You will need a suitable GPS enabled watch to log all your training, such as Garmin, Polar or Suunto. When you complete your workout, you’ll upload your workout file from your device to TrainingPeaks where we are able to analyze the metrics (training time, distance, elevation, heart rate, etc.) from your workout. We are then notified immediately of the completed workout and will review, comment, and if necessary, modify the next day’s training.
  • How do we communicate?
    Ongoing communication & regular contact is an essential part of the coaching process. enabling you to stay motivated and get the best advice exactly when you need it. We'll review your training each week/month (depending on package) before delivering your next week’s/month's workouts. The ongoing communication & feedback allows your coach to continually tailor your training to each week’s circumstances, scheduling around how your workout went, any training issues that may come up, or when you have questions. We communicate in whatever way works best for you. Our preference is to utilize TrainingPeaks where you can leave comments. We also use WhatsApp, email, phone & Face Time video.
  • Is there a minimum overall time commitment?

  • Refunds
    Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds once a plan has been delivered as we invest a great deal of time designing the customised plans. However, If you decided to stop the coaching services, no further payments will be taken.
